BPD: Gunman shoots ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend, arrested

BEAUMONT — A 24-year-old Beaumont man is charged in the shooting assault of his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend.
The victim was at his girlfriend’s apartment in the 5900 block of Bedford around 5 a.m. Tuesday when police say Sherman Wyckoff Jr. showed up to retrieve personal items. He reportedly shot the victim multiple times, fled the scene but later located and arrested, according to a press release from the Beaumont Police Department.
The victim was brought by Beaumont EMS to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
