BASEBALL: 2017 World Series trophy coming to Beaumont on Saturday

The Houston Astros’ 2017 World Series trophy will return to Beaumont on Saturday.
Academy Sports + Outdoors, 7130 Eastex Fwy., will host a customer appreciation event that will allow fans to take photos with the trophy from noon-2 p.m. From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., visitors may also eat barbecue food samples and see demonstrations from certified pitmasters with BrisketU.
Academy is also giving away two free tickets to an Astros’ Father’s Day game June 16 with a $50 purchase.
