Robert Bohanon, Jr. was born January 28, 1949 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Mary and Robert Bohanon, Sr.  He was a retired chef in the U.S. Air Force with 26 years of service and later retired from Larry Gist State Jail. He was also employed with JK Chevrolet.   “Butch” was known for his barbeque.  Robert was a devoted member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.  Robert leaves to cherish his wife of 25 years, Mary Bohanon; one son; four daughters; three sisters; two brothers; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one godson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 248 18th Street, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 12 noon until service time.  Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
