Police say there has been a disruption with the regional 911 system impacting Jefferson, Hardin and Orange County’s phone communication.

Residents are asked to use non-emergency numbers for each city or county. Regional staff members are working diligently, according to Port Arthur police, to get this resolved as soon as possible.

Port Arthur callers are asked to call 409-983-8600.

Authorities announced The Mid- County (Nederland, Port Neches, Groves) Emergency 911 System is down, as well.

Until further notice, citizens are asked to call 409-723-1516 for emergency services.
