PAPD: Thursday morning raid nets 50 pounds of marijuana, 2 guns

A SWAT and DPS raid in Port Arthur Thursday morning led to two arrests, the discovery of 50 pounds of hydroponic marijuana and two firearm confiscations.
According to the Port Arthur Police Department, the suspects were charged with delivery of marijuana/2nd degree felony and taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility.
Those arrested include Rendy Le, 26, of Port Arthur and Nefretiri Morales, 23, of Port Arthur, according to information from the Texas Department Public Safety.
The investigation by DPS Special Agents is ongoing and additional details are unavailable at this time, DPS Sgt. Stephanie Davis said.
PAPD said the local Narcotics and Gun Unit joined Port Arthur SWAT and Special Agents with the Department of Public Safety at approximately 8 a.m. Thursday to serve a narcotics search warrant at a home in the 9500 block of Lisa Lane.
Approximately 50 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, an AR style firearm and a .45 caliber pistol were located and recovered during the search, authorities said.
Two people were found occupying the residence and subsequently taken into custody, according to police.
