No arrests have been made in Thursday morning’s armed robbery at EZ Pawn in Port Arthur.
Two men entered the business, located at 3427 Twin City Highway in the Jefferson City Shopping Center, wearing bandanas and told everyone to “get down.”
One of the men had a gun, pointed it at the owner and asked for her phone, to which she complied while the other man started smashing the jewelry case, where chains and bracelets were displayed.
The glass on the case was damaged but not broken.
Several rounds were fired but no one was struck, police said, during the robbery, which took place at 10:15 a.m. Thursday.
During the robbery, the gunman ran out to a vehicle and started honking the horn while the remaining robber continued to try and break the glass to the jewelry case before also running out.
Video shared by Port Arthur Police shows a four-door, blue or gray hatchback vehicle in the parking lot prior to the robbery.
The robbers did not ask for cash and had left the door propped open.
Several members of the Port Arthur Criminal Investigations Division arrived and assisted in the investigation, along with a Crime Scene Technician, police said.
Information about possible stolen items has not been released, but the owner said it appears as if nothing was stolen.
Port Arthur Police are asking for the public’s help locating a vehicle and anyone associated with it related to the robbery.
