NEDERLAND — Nederland Independent School District officials announced that all campuses would be closed through at least April 3.
The decision was made to extend closures through the month due to Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick’s updated Emergency Declaration and CDC recommendations.
Nederland ISD will provide a student meal pickup service from March 23 through April 3 for Nederland ISD students ages 18 and under.
Meal pickup will last between 7:30 to 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday. Meal pickup locations will be at Central Middle School, C.O. Wilson Middle School, Hillcrest Elementary and Nederland High School.
District leadership and staff are working on a flexible educational program to keep students engaged and provide instructional support for all students during the school closure.
These types of programs are required by the Texas Education Agency. Details for the flexible education program will be posted soon.
