100 Port Arthur residents can receive free COVID-19 tests next week; Learn how to sign up

The Southeast Texas Regional Emergency Operations Center announced alternative COVID-19 testing sites in Port Arthur and Orange County.
According to information shared just before 5 p.m. today (April 29), COVID-19 tests will be provided at the alternative testing sites and will only be available for residents of that area as follows:
- PORT ARTHUR RESIDENTS
May 6
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Bob Bowers Civic Center, 3401 Cultural Drive
- ORANGE COUNTY RESIDENTS
May 5
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Orange County Convention and Expo Center
11475 FM 1442
Testing will be performed by appointment only.
Only 100 appointments will be scheduled at each location.

You do not have to have COVID-19 symptoms to request testing, but you will have to show proof of residency to be tested at the alternative testing sites.
The Call Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Testing is FREE.
