PORT NECHES — A group of Port Neches teenagers and pre-teens got out to work early this week, using the Texas heat to their favor.
Cousins Emily Garcia, River Garcia, Izabella Garcia, Rainakay Garcia and Marciela Garcia started operating their drink stand Monday in Port Neches as a way to raise money for a future vacation.
The young family members were hoping to generate enough money to buy matching outfits for their Florida getaway.
They say they have frequently operated lemonade stands and noticed more customers come by when they promote multiple options, so Monday’s spread included lemonade or Kool-Aid for sale.
