Victor Joseph Graffio, 82, of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

He was born May 25, 1938, in Franklin, Louisiana to Lena Graffio and Frank Graffio.

Victor was a United Stated Marine veteran.

In his earlier years, he was a Golden Gloves boxer before becoming a professional boxer.

He owned and operated Vic’s Garage in Port Arthur for forty-five years.

In his free time, Victor enjoyed spending time at the beach cabin and time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His family was his heart.

Survivors include his sister, Jennie Sanders, of Ohio; daughter, Rhea Melancon and husband, Tony Trahan, of Port Arthur; son, Dan Cross and wife, Darri, of Austin; grandchildren, Shawn Melancon, of Nederland; Ari Paskell and his wife, Savannah; and Sabre Portie and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Taylor Bergeron; Laci Bergeron; and Brayden Portie, all of Port Arthur; and extended family, James and Martha Cross and Rhona Cross Moore, all of Austin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Frank Graffio; wife of fifty-seven years, Dorothy Ann Graffio; and brother, Joseph Graffio.

A gathering of Mr. Graffio’s family and friend will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.

His interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
