Port Arthur man’s passing Friday is Mid & South County’s 3rd COVID death in 4 days

Health officials announced the death of a Port Arthur resident Friday afternoon, the third local death related to coronavirus in four days.

The City of Port Arthur Health Department identified the victim as a Black male between 70 and 75 years old.

It is undetermined whether the man had underlying health conditions.

The Health Department has reported 43 COVID-19 related deaths for Port Arthur residents since the beginning of this pandemic.
