The Texas Department of Transportation announced a major Port Arthur lane closure for this week and next week.

The outside lane of U.S 69 northbound just south of Texas 73 will be closed Thursday, as well as July 5.

The closures take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to place a concrete barrier.

All work is weather permitting, officials said.
