Port Arthur Police Department investigators are asking for anyone with video from Tuesday night’s shooting at Cedar Ridge Apartments to speak with them.
Just before midnight, a woman was shot and injured while in her apartment at the apartment complex, 7631 9th Avenue, according to authorities.
Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso said the woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont and is listed in stable condition.
The woman was not the intended target, and the shots were fired from a distance, police said.
No other injuries were reported, though several vehicles were struck by gunfire.
Investigators are chasing several leads, but no arrests have been made as of midday Wednesday, Duriso said.
Police are also waiting on video from the apartment complex and are asking the public who may have captured cell phone video to come forward.
Duriso said police do not believe the shooting at Cedar Ridge is related the fatal shooting of a woman at Heatherbrook Apartments in the 8000 block of Heatherbrook Trail, which is less than a mile away.
That victim, Angela Davidson, 40, of Port Arthur was outside of an apartment unit when she was shot Dec. 11.
