It’s getting cold out there, and weather watchers want those in Port Arthur and across Southeast Texas to be aware of overnight low temperatures expected for the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service Lake Charles office, overnight low temperatures are expected to fall below freezing in some locations.

Locations in the marsh and close to the Gulf Coast may not fall below freezing.

Some areas will experience below freezing temperatures on a nightly basis, starting Wednesday night and continuing into Sunday morning.

Confidence is high that several locations across Southeast Texas and portions of Louisiana will experience below-freezing temperatures.
