Henry George Green Sr., known to family and friends as H.G., of Port Arthur, Texas passed away peacefully Sunday, March 31, 2024 at the age of 85.

A native of Conroe, Texas, he was a resident of Port Arthur, Texas for 50 years.

He retired from Maritime Association Locals 25 and 440. Henry was a beloved and faithful member of Mount Olive Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Ruthie Mae Green; children, Theodore Morales, Louis (Gail) Sampract, O’Brien Green, Kathy (Pastor G. P. I) Foster, Francine Green Jackson, Wanda Green, Benjamin Green, Sr. (Candace), Henry Green, Jr., Zabarus (Dalesia) Harrison; 30 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by one grandchild.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Groves Community Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2701 W. Parkway, Groves, Texas.

Burial will be Monday, April 15, 2024 at Jasper Memorial Garden, 601-629 Hawthorne Road, New Waverly, Texas 77358.
