GROVES — Sign-up for this year’s 2024 Groves Pecan Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant begins May 1 and ends July 11.

Girls age 3 years to 12th grade who reside in Groves can pick up applications at the Groves Chamber of Commerce.

Completed applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Once the category is filled, no more applications will be accepted.

Categories go by grade. This year’s pageant is Sept. 14t at Pathway Church Mid County, 2326 Nederland Avenue in Port Neches.

Contestants in the Queen’s Division compete for the following scholarship amounts: Queen – $1,000 Scholarship, 1st Runner-up – $750 Scholarship and 2nd Runner-up $500 Scholarship.

Applications must be turned in online or picked up and returned completed with registration fees July 11 to the Groves Chamber of Commerce office.

No late applications are accepted. Contestants must live in Groves. Entry Fee is $100 and includes T-shirt and headshot.
