Timothy Haven Hicke was born October 28 in LaCrosse, WI, but grew up mostly in Illinois where he graduated from Astoria High School in Astoria, IL.

After high school graduation, Tim attended Vennard College in University Park, IA where he met his help-meet and the love of his life, Marilyn.

They were married in June of 1967 in Alamo, TN.

After graduating from Vennard College, Tim pastured churches in TX, OK, CA and the state of Washington.

Tim and Marilyn were involved in numerous summer youth camps and VBS.

He had a profound impact on adults and children alike over the span of his career.

His last pastorate was at the Bethel Methodist Church of Port Neches, TX, where he lived until his death.

He loved the Port Neches people and often remarked that God had saved the best until last.

Tim passed away peacefully at his home in Port Neches, TX on Tuesday, April 23. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Port Neches, TX, their daughter Pamela Hicke Piersall and husband Rick of Abilene, TX, and their grandchildren, Andrew Piersall and Trey Piersall, of Abilene, TX.

Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 1pm at the Bethel Methodist Church of Port Neches, 1125 Wilson Street, Port Neches, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Gideon Bibles.

Tim steadfastly believed in spreading the Word of God.
