Groves Police Department officers made the following arrests and responded to the following calls from June 5 to June 11:

June 5

  • Jeffrey Guidry, 31, was arrested for warrants in the 2900 block of Pearl Street.
  • Possession of a controlled substance report and unlawfully carrying a weapon was filed at the 5000 block of East Parkway.

June 6

  • Devin Garcia, 30, was arrested for warrants in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
  • Ordezzia Collins, 44, was arrested for warrants in the 5100 block of East Parkway.
  • Miranda Hoke, 48, was arrested for public intoxication in the 4800 block of Lawndale.
  • An information report was filed at the 4400 block of Gulf.
  • An information report was filed at the 6200 block of 25th Street.
  • An assault was reported in the 4800 block of Lawndale.

June 7

  • Tekiya Mckinney, 25, was arrested for warrants in the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.

June 8

  • Amanda Alexander, 44, was arrested for assault against a public servant, resisting arrest, search or transport and obstruction or retaliation in the 1600 block of Lakeview.
  • Chuck Pierce Jr., 48, was arrested for warrants in the 2800 block of Oak Avenue.
  • A theft was reported in the 5500 block of East Parkway.

June 9

  • Duty on striking an unattended vehicle was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

  • Eric Hernandez, 28, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon in the 4000 block of Twin City Highway.
  • A recovered stolen property was reported in the 4200 block of Main Avenue.

June 11

  • Duty on striking an unattended vehicle was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A theft was reported in the 5000 block of 32nd Street.
  • An assault was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
