The Port of Port Arthur has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association Excellence in Finance Award.

This prestigious award recognizes the Port of Port Arthur’s commitment to financial transparency, accountability, and excellence in financial management.

This is the highest honor any government entity can receive in finance, and it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our finance team.

The GFOA Excellence in Finance Award is given to organizations that demonstrate outstanding financial reporting and management practices. Recipients are recognized for their commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial stewardship.

Director of Accounting Rebecca Underhill said, “ The Port of Port Arthur is committed to providing transparent and accountable financial management to the community and stakeholders. This award is a testament to the Port’s ongoing commitment to excellence in finance.”

This marked the fourth year the Port has received this award.
