Indictment: Port Arthur man struck other man with shotgun

A local man that allegedly struck another man in the head and wrist with a shotgun was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon this week.
A Jefferson County grand jury met Wednesday and handed down indictments on a number of individuals including DS Logan IV, 22, of Port Arthur.
According to the probable cause affidavit, Beaumont police were called June 16 to the 2100 block of Ratcliff where a verbal disturbance turned physical.
The victim, age 19, said Logan pulled out a black automatic shotgun and assaulted him causing injury and pain.
Logan was placed under arrest.
As of Friday he was no longer listed in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility as an inmate.
