GROVES — Groves Public Works Department was recognized for completing all parts of the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool R.O.A.D. ready completion certification.

The TML risks pool has more than 2,800 members and the city of Groves is one of four to have completed the special safety training.

Darral Oliver and Kolby Burkhardt, representatives of TML, drove in from the Austin area Monday night to present the award to the public works department.

The certificate recognizes the department’s completion of the five road ready badges and the dedication of all staff to provide a safe and healthy workplace, according to TML.
