Groves shooting suspect surrenders to authorities

A suspect who allegedly shot and killed an 18-year-old in Groves on Aug. 10 has surrendered to authorities with the Groves Police Department.
Port Arthur resident Vonzelle Hall, 19, turned himself in around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 14 according to Groves Interim City Marshal Chris Robin.
A first degree murder warrant for Hall’s arrest was signed Aug. 13.
Hall allegedly shot and killed 18-year-old Jesus Garcia at the Beverly Place Apartments in Groves during the early hours of Aug. 10. Garcia was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
