Sea Rim State Park bumped up their scheduled reopening to today/Friday following July’s storm damage.
The park, located at 19335 South Texas 87, Sabine Pass, will be open for both day use and camping, according to information from the Park.
East Beach, however, remains completely closed to vehicle as well as foot traffic.
West Beach and Central Beach will be open for regular uses, officials said.
Sea Rim State Park received a considerable amount of damage from Hurricane Beryl in July. Several buildings received water damage and all of the trash cans were washed away.
The entrance to East Beach saw significant washout, officials said, which completely closed off that side’s beach access.
