Bond set at $600K for alleged Groves shooter

Bond has been set at $600,000 for Vonzelle Hall, the alleged gunman in a Groves shooting which left one person dead in the early hours of Aug. 10.

The 19-year-old Hall, who had a murder warrant issued for his arrest, surrendered to authorities with Groves PD around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 14. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail at 9:24 p.m. that evening.

Hall allegedly shot and killed 18-year-old Jesus Garcia at the Beverly Place Apartments in Groves around 1:57 a.m. Aug. 10. Garcia was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
