GROVES — Fresh produce, food and shopping will be available during the first ever Summer Market Day in Groves Saturday.

Executive Director Letha Knaus said they had hoped to hold the event earlier in the summer but was unable to because some of the vendors weren’t available.

Summer Market Day will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. at Snooper’s Paradise parking lot, 5509 E. Parkway.

Participating vendors/businesses include Snooper’s Paradise, Classic Finds, Sugar Shack, Stacked Cake & Confections, Wildflower Design & Events, Joyce’s Jellies and Produce and more.

Joyce Simon of Joyce’s Jellies will bring fresh eggs, produce and more than 70 jellies and jams, Knaus said.

Old West Smoke Company will be on site selling breakfast tacos and some vendors will be set up in the shopping center.

Knaus invites to the public to the event to attend the market as well as spend some time in Groves, have lunch at Pizza Artista and do some sopping on Lincoln Avenue.
