Groves Chamber Coffee celebrates businesses, upcoming events

GROVES — Coastal Caregivers hosted the Groves Chamber of Commerce & Tourist Center’s monthly coffee at The Courtyard Café this week with announcements of upcoming events food and fellowship.

Announcements included the Pecan Festival Pageant happening Saturday with the parade occurring Sept. 21. Officials announced three ribbon cuttings/events that are scheduled next week with the chamber, Davis’ Donuts on FM 365 (new owners), Delicias Yolis & Grill on Stadium Drive in Port Arthur will have a ribbon cutting and Strands Hair Spa & Boutique on Nall Street in Port Neches will have an open house.

The Chamber has also scheduled a “Cash Mob” every Monday in September encouraging the public to visit these local businesses.

  • Belen Bakery, 2630 Main St., Groves, 7 to 11 a.m. Monday
  • Sundara Coffee House, 4000 Lincoln, Groves, 7 to 11 a.m. Sept. 23
  • ICY Donuts, 3855 Main St., Groves, 7 to 11 a.m.

During this week’s event Williams Florist & Gifts was named Business of the Month. Owner Alli Meaux and daughter, Adia, were on hand to receive the sidewalk board to display for the month.

Karen Theis, owner of The Courtyard Café, prepared a French toast and sausage breakfast for all.

National Networks will host the next Chamber coffee on Oct. 10th at Maison d’Amis on Lincoln Ave.
