On Monday at 10 am, the National Hurricane Center issued an advisory stating that Tropical Depression Gordon is 985 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving 7 mph to the west.

“A gradual turn toward the west-northwest and northwest at a slower forward speed is expected during the next day or so, followed by a turn toward the north and north-northeast by Wednesday.” according to meteorologists. “Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 hours.”

Yesterday, the tropical storm Gordon weakened into a tropical depression.
