Wind advisory issued for Southeast Texas until Sunday evening

On Sunday at 10:54 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Sunday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The advisory is for West Cameron, East Cameron, Southern Calcasieu and Southern Jefferson Davis as well as Jefferson and Orange counties.

The NWS adds, “Southeast winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” explains the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
