Port Arthur native and singer Audrin Windon, also known as Audi Yo, recently received the Texas Music & Community Awards honors as the Most Recognized International Southern Soul Male Artist of 2024.
Windon has performed in countries Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Turkey, and Jamaica and has represented Port Arthur every step of the way, he said.
“I just want to thank God and every single person who has ever taken the time to listen to my music. There’s a lot more in store for my city and the generational talent,” he added.
The Dec. 19 awards was the first event for the Houston based Texas Music & Community Awards.
Windon offered thanks to DJ Trucker MC and Sarlentia 1st Lady Trucker record label Southern Soul Movement and for believing in him and Hilton Kelley for being the first person to put one dollar towards his musical career.
Last year Windon was chosen to be part of the Recording Academy.
