Three Nederland High School Football players signed letters of intent this week to play football at the college level.
James Ladner signed with Southern Arkansas University, Hubert Thomas signed with Southern Utah University and Albert Simon will sign with Lamar University.
“I’m definitely overwhelmed, but at the same time, I’m a little excited,” said Ladner. “ I’m ready to show up at the next level and show them what I can do.”
Ladner, RB, averaged 12.4 yards a game with Nederland and hopes to earn an engineering degree while at Southern Utah.
Simon, LB, a two-star prospect decided to join the local college football team at Lamar University after recording eight sacks and two forced fumbles during his junior year.
All these young players have earned their scholarships at their respective schools to play at the collegiate level.
