PORT NECHES – The SETX Craft BBQ Festival’s third annual celebration returns to Port Neches this weekend Saturday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Port Neches Avenue.
Tickets are currently $10 during presale and are available at Avenue Axe in Port Neches. Tickets will be $15 on the day of the event.
The event will be filled with delicious barbeque, live music by the Ole Lonesome, Shinoak, Jace Nunnelly and Ethan Osborne, along with a plethora of multiple vendors from around the region. A full list of vendors is available on the SETX Craft BBQ Festival Facebook page.
The festival will also feature local breweries and distilleries for beer and bourbon tasting for those of age.
“Our main goal is to drive business back to the Avenue,” said Nathan Walters, co-owner of the Old West Smoke Company and co-founder of the festival. “Port Neches is a small town with a couple of really good local businesses in the area and we wanted to bring people from the outside surrounding areas down there to help those local businesses.”
The festival has committed to helping the community by having the Port Neches Police Department and the Port Neches- Groves High School Fishing Team as beneficiaries this year. Donations will be made during the event to show further support for the community.
“It’s just a great local event. It’s in an up-and-coming area of Port Neches, so there’s a lot of new developments coming down there,” said Walters. “ It’s just going to be a real fun day.”
