Keen eyed locals snapped some photos of a tropical funnel cloud near Sabine Lake and te Veterans Memorial Bridge on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service-Lake Charles is forecasting scattered showers and thunderstorms thorough early Tuesday evening. A few of these storms will contain frequent cloud to ground lightning, small hail, and gusty winds. Also away from thunderstorms, heat indices up to 105 degrees will be possible during the afternoon.
Wednesday through Monday — Scattered afternoon thunderstorms will be possible again on Wednesday. Rain chances should decrease this weekend with dry conditions expected on Monday.
