A Vidor man was killed after he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on Friday.

Henry McIntrye, 37, of Vidor was traveling on a 1996 Honda motorcycle westbound on FM 1004 near CR 3089 in Newton County at about 8 p.m. July 31 when, as the vehicle went into a curve, he lost control of the motorcycle. He was ejected from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, according to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Justice of the Peace Michael Greer pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
