Joseph A. Whitehead, III

Joseph A. Whitehead, III, 69, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Frances Hubbard Whitehead and Joseph A. Whitehead, Jr. on July 28, 1946. He lived in Port Arthur for most of his younger life, spent 30 years in Bridge City, moved to Conroe in 2006 before settling in Beaumont in 2014. Joseph was the owner and operator of several Pawn Shops including K & C Pawn Shop in Orange. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. Joseph was a member of Second Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ina Whitehead of Beaumont, his daughter, Kristin Whitehead of Beaumont and his son, Chad Whitehead of Beaumont, his sister, Patricia Oakley of Battlement Mesa, Colorado.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Donny Robbins, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
