Evading arrest and drug charges topped this week’s list of indictments handed down by a Jefferson County grand jury.
- Nicholas Jay Barton, 22, of Beaumont was indicted for evading arrest detention with a vehicle for an incident that occurred Dec. 13.
- Albert G. Martin, 33, of Beaumont was indicted for evading arrest detention with a vehicle for an incident that occurred Nov. 11.
- William Wayne McCall, 39, of Nederland was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Dec. 8, 2022.
- Kristina Nicole Polanco, 27, of Nederland was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred Dec. 8, 2022.
- Timothy Gene Moore Jr., 25, of Beaumont as indicted for possession of marijuana for an incident that occurred Feb. 12.
- Jorge Alberto Quijada Medrano, 32, transient of Port Arthur, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred June 19.
- Ashley Sias, 39, of Beaumont was indicted for theft of property for an incident that occurred Oct. 30.
- Trevor Adayle Smith, 30, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of marijuana for an incident that occurred April 4.
- Jaylin Reshawn White, 22, of Groves was indicted for prohibited weapon for an incident that occurred July 7.
- Christopher Lee Thomas, 40, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, for an incident that occurred July 9.
- Joshua Javon Williams, 40, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of marijuana for an incident that occurred Feb. 18.
- Na Kendria Wilson, 24, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of marijuana for an incident that occurred April 1.
- John Robert Wolverton, 56, of Beaumont was indicted for possession of a controlled substance, heroin, for an incident that occurred April 6.
An indictment is not a final conviction of guilt; it is only a ruling by the grand jury that allows the district attorney’s office to proceed with a criminal case.
