Port Arthur and Mid County residents and those across Southeast Texas can expect another round of severe weather this Friday.
The area is under a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather.
Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible. This includes damaging winds over 60 mph are possible.
Flash flooding is not as much of a concern as this system will be moving fairly quickly.
This weekend and next week will be dry and cool, according to the National Weather Service office in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Showers and thunderstorms will develop during the day on Friday.
Rainfall amounts will average between 0.25 inch to 1 inch across the region.
However, the stronger storms will be capable of producing higher rainfall rates, and therefore locally higher amounts that may lead to urban type street flooding will be possible.
