Orange man, Houston woman killed Monday in head-on Interstate Highway 10 crash

One Orange man and a Houston woman were killed, authorities said, following a violent, three-vehicle wreck Monday along Interstate 10 in Orange County.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are investigating the crash that took place on Interstate Highway 10 east, near the 861-mile marker in Orange County.
The preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 11:15 a.m., a 2016 Ram 2500 was traveling east, followed by a 2023 Nissan Murano, both traveling in the inside lane.
It is reported a 2021 Ram 1500 was traveling west in the eastbound lane and struck the 2016 Ram head-on. Both units veered left and were struck by the Nissan Murano.
The driver of the 2016 Ram pickup was taken to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas – St. Elizabeth in Beaumont for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the 2016 Ram pickup is identified as 62-year-old Javier Munoz of Houston. His passenger is identified as 53-year-old Dolores Munoz of Houston, who was pronounced deceased on the scene by Justice of the Peace Rodney Price.
The driver of the 2021 Ram 1500 was pronounced deceased on scene by Price. He is identified as 60-year-old James Wyatt of Orange.
The identification of the occupants in the Nissan are pending at this time, authorities announced Monday night.
