Lois Nell Hubbard Lovett, 87, of Beaumont, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 4, 2015. A native of Huntington, she was born on September 15, 1928, in Huntington, to Bennie and Harry Hubbard.
Lois graduated from Port Neches High School after her father moved his family to Port Neches for a job at BF Goodrich. She settled into Nederland, where she raised her two sons. Lois loved her family and friends. Baking for others brought special joy to her and to those who received her delicious baked goods. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres, where she loved her church family.
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Wayne Stuart of Dallas; sister, Lorene Broussard and her husband, Gilroy, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Scott Stuart, Todd Stuart, and Tyler Stuart; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Lovett; son, Dr. Steve Stuart; and brothers, Coy Hubbard, Bill Hubbard, Morris Hubard, and Harry Hubbard.
A gathering of Mrs. Lovett’s family and friends will be 1:00 p.m., with her funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
