100 pints! Russell Buss made history this week.
The (almost) 80-year-old gave his 100th pint of blood Thursday to LifeShare.
He’s a huge advocate for paying it forward, where this type of donation is much needed.
He figured with an average donation of five per year, only able to donate every 56 days, it has taken him a while to reach this goal.
Account Manager Tiffany Ybarra was on hand to present Russ with a certificate and bag of goodies for this milestone achievement.
Ybarra also stated the importance and need for blood donations.
It’s a life or death situation for so many, infants to adults. She said not everyone is able to donate, and that’s understandable.
Help is also welcomed through blood drives organized at a place of business, church, school or fundraiser.
