Residents, current and former employees and board members, families and guests were on hand to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Community Retirement Home.
The senior independent living facility is located at 3141 Procter Street.
Kim Guidry, facility director, and her team put a lot of effort into the preparation. Eula Nelson opened the festivities with a blessing over food and friends.
She been head chef at the retirement center for the past 20 plus years and was responsible for the event’s meal.
Volunteers from the Sertoma Club and area churches helped serve residents and guests.
Area hospice companies were available to discuss care options/services with attendees.
Guidry thanked the staff, board members and volunteers for their help.
Special recognition was given to longtime employee and Executive Assistant Annette Daniels.
