A 40-year-old Nederland man was extradited to Louisiana this week on warrants after he allegedly evaded and resisted arrest in Nederland.
Rodney Allen Broussard was booked in the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center Monday on warrants for operating while intoxicated, first offense; aggravated flight from an officer; and two counts of direct contempt of court.
The charges are from October 2023 and stemmed from a Louisiana State Police arrest, Kayla Vincent, public information officer with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, said.
Broussard was arrested locally June 26 on several charges with charges of evading and resisting pending with Nederland Police Department, according to information from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Broussard’s Louisiana bond is set at $40,500.
