BEAUMONT — Scientific testing has confirmed the human remains discovered on June 13 are that of Kimberly Langwell, according to information from Beaumont Police Department.
Langwell, 34, of Beaumont was last seen leaving work on July 9, 1999. A missing person’s report was made the next day.
It was reported she had plans to stop by her ex-boyfriend’s home before going to her own home.
On June 10, 2024, the Beaumont Police Department executed an evidentiary search warrant at an address in the 1600 block of Lindbergh. Beaumont Police Department personnel were assisted in the search by members of the FBI Houston’s Evidence Response Team, Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, ATF, Texas Equusearch, and City of Beaumont Public Works, according to information from BPD.
On June 13, the search yielded additional evidence related to the 1999 Kimberly Langwell missing person case.
Based on the additional evidence, an arrest warrant for the offense of Murder was issued for Terry Rose, a 67-year-old Beaumont resident. Rose was taken into custody June 13, by Beaumont Police Special Assignments Unit.
