A flood watch is in effect for Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana through 7 a.m. Thursday.

Rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches with localized heavier amounts are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

The area will see showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 a.m. The best chances for rainfall are between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall.
