Heat advisory issued for Northern Orange and Southern Orange as well as Jefferson County until Friday evening

On Friday at 4:08 a.m. a heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Friday between noon and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Northern Orange and Southern Orange as well as Jefferson County.
The NWS says, “Heat index values up to 110 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses,” states the NWS.

- Recognize heat-related issues: Know how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
- Dress for comfort: Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing.
