Gwendolyn Williams Giron, 67, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015.  She was born November 11, 1947 in Port Arthur, TX to the late Hardner Williams, Sr. and Ella Williams.
Gwen was baptized at an early age at New Light Missionary Baptist Church.  Prior to her death she was a devoted member of First Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Gilbert Collins.  She was also a 1966 graduate of Lincoln High School.
Including her parents Gwen was preceded in death by her brother Gerald L. Williams.
Survivors include three sons Derrick Giron (NaTasha) of Beaumont, TX, DeCedric DeShawn Giron of Houston, TX and Damon Giron; three daughters Roushaunda Giron and Walona Giron of Port Arthur, TX and Maria Giron of Beaumont, TX; one brother Rev. Hardner Williams Jr. (Richie); five sisters, Priscilla Campbell, Beverly Pickney (Murphy), Azzie Mills (Igalious “Ike”), Hazel Harris (Harry) and Sonia Thomas (Phillip) all of Port Arthur, TX; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12 noon with funeral services at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Eastern Star Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
