Wind advisory for Southeast Texas until early Wednesday evening

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday in effect until 4 p.m. The advisory is for Upper St. Martin, Lower St. Martin, Northern Calcasieu, Northern Jefferson Davis, Northern Acadia, Upper Iberia, Upper St. Mary, Lower Iberia and Lower St. Mary as well as Lafayette, Jefferson and Orange counties.
The NWS states, “Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” states the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects.”
