Members of the Gospel Male Chorus of Southeast Texas are back in the swing of things and are ready for music, fellowship and giving praise to God.

The Gospel Concert of the Year is set for Sunday. 

Doors open at 5 p.m. Sunday and the concert begins at 6 p.m. at First Sixth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 548 Abe Lincoln Avenue in Port Arthur.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door the day of the event. VIP tickets are $15 and can only be purchased in advance. Tickets are available from any Chorus member or by calling 877-896-7574.

Christopher Bates, who has been a member since 2011, said the concert this year is the members going back to their routines. COVID put the concert on pause for a number of years and in 2023 the Gospel Male Chorus of Southeast Texas made their return.

The concert is special to both the chorus and the audience.

Bates said the concert is a time for celebration, fellowship and a time for giving praise to God.

He said this is something the audience has looked forward to hearing.
