GROVES — Deadline for entries for the Groves Pecan festival Photo/Art Contest has been extended to Friday, Oct. 30.

The contest features two divisions, youth 17 and under and adults, 18 and over. Applications to enter may be obtained at Groves Café and Coffee Bar, formally Kizmet Studio and Koffee Bar, 6039 39^th St., Groves or the Groves Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Center, 4399 Main Ave., Groves.

Entry fee is $5 per entry with a three photo/artwork entry limit per person. No credit cards accepted.

Entries for the photo contest must be an 8 X 10 matted photo. Entries for the art contest must be on a no-larger than 16 X 20 canvas. Photos and artwork must be appropriate for public viewing and only original photos and artwork will be accepted.

Only one entry per category will be allowed to place in the awards.

First, second, third place and the Robert Pastorella Sr. Memorial Award, previously People’s Choice award, will be chosen for al four divisions.

The awards reception will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 2 at Groves Café and Coffee Bar.

This year’s co-chairpersons are Scott and Tina Legendre.
