NEDERLAND — A 65-year-old Nederland man, whose truck was stuck in a ditch, accelerated the vehicle too much and traveled across the street into a garage around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

The vehicle struck a gas line inside the garage and officials were called to shut the line off.

Nederland Assistant Police Chief Gary Porter said the man did not suffer any serious injuries.
