FAIRCLOTH DENIES LEAVING PN-G POST

Port Neches-Groves Indians football coach/athletic director Brandon Faircloth temporarily quieted rumors of taking another job Tuesday morning.

It has been rumored over the last two weeks of Faircloth being named football coach at Lovejoy High School in Lucas, located east of Allen and 38 miles northeast of Dallas.

Faircloth said in a text message Tuesday, “I haven’t been offered any job. Any rumor about me leaving is totally false.”

Faircloth is 51-29 in seven seasons at PN-G. The Indians won a share of the District 22-5A in 2015 and won their first playoff game since 2010. Angleton eliminated PN-G with a 48-30 victory in the second round.
